A physical barrier is the most direct and effective way to secure our southern border and control immigration. We need a concrete solution that actually stops people from crossing illegally, and a wall sends a clear message that our borders matter. The money spent on border security should go toward the thing that actually works on the ground, not vague bureaucratic agencies that waste resources.
Building walls is expensive and inefficient compared to technology, personnel, and legal processing infrastructure. Most drugs and contraband come through legal ports of entry where we need better screening—a wall doesn't address that. We should invest in solutions that actually reduce the root causes of illegal immigration and security threats rather than throwing billions at a symbol that doesn't deliver results.
