India has 1.4 billion people to lift out of poverty โ we can't afford the luxury of slow, environmentally-cautious development. Countries like the US and Europe industrialized without modern environmental restrictions and became wealthy; now they lecture us. We need jobs, manufacturing, mines, and power plants now. Environmental concerns can wait until we're a rich nation; a poor country can't afford green energy and conservation.
India is already choking โ Delhi has the world's worst air quality, our rivers are poisoned, and we're losing groundwater faster than we can replenish it. If we destroy our forests for short-term mining profits and pollute our water systems for factories, we'll spend far more cleaning up the mess later. Climate change will devastate Indian agriculture and create mass migration. Real development means sustainable growth that keeps our people alive and healthy, not hollow GDP numbers built on poisoned land.
