The gap between rich and poor nations is fundamentally unjust and largely the result of historical colonialism and exploitation, not merit. Wealthy countries have a moral obligation to repair this damage through substantial wealth redistribution and development aid. Without it, billions remain trapped in poverty while others accumulate obscene fortunes—that's an indefensible inequality that demands action.
Forced wealth redistribution might sound compassionate, but it actually undermines the incentives that created prosperity in the first place. Developing nations need stable institutions and good governance to grow sustainably, not dependency on handouts. Wealth taxes and excessive aid redirect money away from what actually works: free markets, rule of law, and internal reforms that developing countries must drive themselves.
