Extreme wealth concentration is morally indefensible when billions of people lack clean water, medicine, and basic education. The wealth of a single billionaire could transform entire regions, yet it's hoarded while children die of preventable diseases. We have the resources to eliminate global poverty—what we lack is the political will to redistribute wealth fairly, and billionaires actively oppose the taxation needed to make it happen.
Billionaires didn't create poverty—systemic corruption, poor governance, and lack of infrastructure did. Most billionaire wealth is tied up in productive assets and companies that employ millions, and forcing liquidation would destroy value and jobs worldwide. If we want to help the poor, we should focus on improving institutions, education systems, and economic freedom in developing countries rather than punishing success in wealthy ones.
