Feels like sometimes a few people just have to give up a little for the sake of everyone else being better off overall.
I think about every person throughout history who was silenced or sacrificed 'for the greater good' as defined by someone else, and it terrifies me how easily that logic can be used to justify taking away the very freedoms that protect people who don't fit the majority's idea of what's good.
