India's rapid economic development has lifted hundreds of millions out of poverty, and that progress depends on maintaining business confidence and investor trust. Religious nationalism and caste-based politics are distractions that slow down infrastructure projects, labour law reforms, and the modernization we need to compete globally. We can't afford to let divisive social debates hold back the policies that actually improve living standards for ordinary Indians.
India's strength has always been its diversity and ability to hold multiple identities together—that's what actually keeps the country stable enough to develop. When governments prioritize GDP growth while ignoring communal tensions, resentment builds until it explodes into violence that destroys far more wealth and opportunity than any project could create. Economic gains mean nothing if minorities feel unsafe and social trust collapses.
